The October 2021 hotfix update is being deployed, and Microsoft has released cumulative updates KB5006670 and KB5006667 for recent versions of Windows 10.
This month’s cumulative updates include security fixes for PCs with the May 2021 update (version 21H1), the October 2020 update (version 20H2), and the May 2020 update ( 2004 version).
The update is now being rolled out through Windows Update, WSUS, and the Microsoft Update Catalog with many bug fixes and performance improvements.

Like every Patch Tuesday, you can find and install new updates by going to Settings, clicking on Windows Update, and selecting ‘Check for updates‘to install the updates.

What’s new in the latest cumulative update for Windows 10
Microsoft fixed several bugs with today’s cumulative update for Windows 10 version 2004 or later. This update advances PCs to builds 19041.1288, 19042.1288, and 19043.1288.
This cumulative update fixes an issue that causes applications like Outlook to suddenly stop working during normal use.
Additionally, Microsoft finally fixed an issue that caused News and Interest icons to appear blurry when using certain screen resolutions. The update also ships with the following fixes:
Addresses an issue that prevents certain applications, such as Microsoft Office and Adobe Reader, from opening or prevents them from responding. This happens on devices that are subject to Microsoft’s Exploit Protection for Export Address Filtering (EAF).
Updates an issue that may be causing distortion in the sound recorded by Cortana and other voice assistants.
Updates an issue that prevents your device from working after you restart it.
Updates an issue that prevents you from providing input to apps when the taskbar is not at the bottom of the screen.
