You know Samsung is finalizing these big details of the Unpacked event when all the press renders for their new devices start popping up and it’s happening now. Yesterday we got our best look at the Galaxy S22 Ultra with S Pen and today we get more, with color options from the Galaxy S22 and the Ultra.
People at 91Mobiles released sets of renderings that show the Samsung Galaxy S22 and Galaxy S22 Ultra from all angles and in all supposed colors. If there were any questions about the designs of either phone, they should all be answered. The Galaxy S22 looks like a slightly more polished Galaxy S21 and the Galaxy S22 Ultra looks like the continuation of the Galaxy Note line after a year of downtime.
Neither will look this fresh and 2022 could very well be a year of a minor Samsung upgrade, but it’s not always a bad thing if what they are offering resonates with it. Samsung’s biggest fans.
Galaxy S22 vs. Galaxy S22 Ultra
In this first image you get the clearest example of the difference between the S22 and S22 + and the Ultra line. Samsung started this transition last year by adding S Pen support to the Galaxy S21 Ultra, but if you missed it, Samsung has shifted its Galaxy S series entirely to two camps. You have the regular S line and the Ultra S line, where Ultra now basically means “Note.”
As with the S21 / S21 + and S21 Ultra, Samsung is going to tell you that if you want the classic Galaxy S experience and don’t want to pay $ 1,200, the S22 and S22 + are for you, with most good stuff, just not everything. If you want the ultimate ultimate, you’re going to need a huge amount of cash on hand and want the S22 Ultra.
Galaxy S22 colors
When it comes to the colors of the Galaxy S22 (and we’re assuming the Galaxy S22 +), Samsung apparently offers white, black, green, and pink options. Overall, these phones just look like the Galaxy S21 line, and that’s probably fine. The S21 was pretty unique, I just hope Samsung stops cutting corners for the S22 like they did when switching from S20 to S21.
Galaxy S22 Ultra Colors
For the colors of the Galaxy S22 Ultra, you have already seen soft red (or “pink” for that reader yesterday which annoyed us), but we will also see black, white and green. There isn’t much I can add here other than “Colors!” We still love the color options and these look very mature to Samsung. From the company that produces some of the worst color options in the industry, these aren’t bad!
Is the Galaxy S22 on your radar or are we all in ‘Galaxy S22 Ultra or bust’ mode?
