There was a lot by Geralt of Rivia at Netflix’s Tudum event. The upcoming second season of The witcher was a major presence at the streamer’s large showcase; Fans were able to check out a pair of very short teasers, which gave a great insight into life on the mainland and what we can expect from Ciri in particular.
Plus, we got our first look at the prequel series Origin of blood with a behind-the-scenes tour of the set and a trailer to catch up with fans on a Season 1 – which also features new footage from the upcoming season.
The show’s first season debuted in 2019 and became a huge hit for Netflix, with the company claiming it was its first most-watched TV season. A second season was inevitable – we got the proper first trailer back in July – but Netflix is also turning Geralt’s world into a big franchise. This includes two prequels: an animated film and a live-action series with Michelle Yeoh.
Season 2 of The witcher is slated for release on Netflix on December 17 – and the streamer has confirmed he’ll be back for a third season as well.
