We’ve all heard of Vodafone, it’s one of the UK’s top four networks, competing with O2 and EE. But are the Vodafone offers good? Read on to find out what kind of price you can expect to pay.
Coming in second behind EE, Vodafone offers solid advantages for you to enlist. Vodafone’s VeryMe program rewards you with everything from free coffees to exclusive contests and cash prizes.
Along with the tempting giveaways, Vodafone’s top-notch coverage and fast speeds are there to woo you. But in terms of cost, Vodafone offers can be somewhat finicky – one minute they’re the cheapest, the next, it’s just not that. affordable.
Like most other networks, you will find that the best prices on mobile phone deals do not come directly from Vodafone, but can be found through third party retailers. This is where you’ll find the great deals on unlimited data and cheap monthly rates.
And for anyone looking to invest in a high-end device – iPhone 12, Samsung Galaxy S21, Google Pixel 5, etc. – Vodafone offers are often the best place to look. You can compare a wide range of handsets on Vodafone below.
Comparison of Vodafone offers
Is Vodafone a good network?
Coverage and speeds:
As one of the four main networks, Vodafone offers exceptional coverage and speeds. In fact, Vodafone isn’t that far behind the leader in EE – the UK’s fastest network.
It offers at least 99% 4G coverage in the UK and is also rapidly expanding its 5G growth. While that 99% looks impressive, it’s pretty similar to what you can get with the other major networks.
However, Vodafone’s speeds put him in the next tier once again, just behind EE in the lineup. You will find that Vodafone is very capable of both 4G coverage and speeds and when it comes to 5G we will see that improve over time.
Features and bonuses:
Vodafone has a number of advantages that help it stand out, but the most obvious is VeryMe. A rewards platform aimed at providing Vodafone users with a plethora of free gifts, discounts and more.
This can range from a free coffee or snack from Costa or Greggs, to contest entries, festival discounts and more. This is a great rewards program that is matched only by O2’s Priority program.
Beyond that, if you sign up for a Vodafone Red plan, you can access Now TV, MTV, and Sky Atlantic for free with your phone.
Like other networks, Vodafone also offers roaming at no additional cost. This is only in specific destinations, but on some plans Vodafone will upgrade you to Global Roaming Plus with extension on destinations.
Vodafone’s prices are nothing special, they usually fall in the middle. Not as cheap as Three but more affordable than EE, Vodafone and O2 will charge you a pretty similar fee.
However, this will not always be the case. You will often see Vodafone sneaking up as the most affordable network on a handset. You can find the cheapest Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra deals on Vodafone, but it could also be the most expensive network.
With prices fluctuating all the time, the best way to see how a network evaluates prices is to use the price comparison table at the top of this page.
What are the best handsets to buy on Vodafone?
IPhone 12 Deals
Apple’s latest line of handsets are the best yet, and while you can go for the powerful, all-around Pro or Pro Max, the middle iPhone 12 seems like the best value option. It retains all of the best specs like the Apple A14 Bionic chip and MagSafe features, but charges a much lower price. While this limits you to a dual camera setup, it will be enough for most people.
Samsung Galaxy S21 Deals
The Samsung Galaxy S21 deals are the cheapest of Samsung’s latest flagship line. Like its two big brothers, the Samsung Galaxy S21 offers the Exynos 2100 processor – one of the most powerful processors available today. It also gives you a triple camera lens setup and a pretty sleek design.
IPhone SE Deals
It’s not flashy, sleek, or even as powerful, but the iPhone SE is Apple’s cheapest handset. And despite its very affordable price, the iPhone SE uses the exact same processor as the much more expensive iPhone 11. For this reason, you get one of the most powerful budget phones on the market.
Google Pixel 5 offers
The Google Pixel 5 is the brand’s most powerful phone yet. It is 5G compatible, offers exceptional camera performance and for the price, a surprisingly powerful processor as well. It all comes together to reward you with a great handset from Google. However, you’ll get better overall performance from Apple and Samsung flagships … if you don’t mind paying more.
Samsung Galaxy A52 5G Deals
The Samsung Galaxy A52 is one of the company’s latest handsets. It delivers premium performance without charging a huge amount of money. You get 5G, a fairly powerful processor, and overall a high performance camera setup. Despite all of these features, you don’t have to pay a lot to get it.
Where is the best place to buy Vodafone deals?
In reality, if you go straight to Vodafone, you are unlikely to find the best prices. Often times the best Vodafone prices come from the large number of third party retailers in the UK.
These range from the more well-known options like Carphone Warehouse, Affordable Mobiles, and Mobiles.co.uk, to lesser-known options like Chitter Chatter and Fonehouse.
These are all reputable retailers with great TrustPilot scores and realistic prices … cheaper than going straight through the Vodafone website.

Can I keep my number when I switch to Vodafone?
If you switch to a Vodafone deal but want to keep your old number then just call your old network, get a PAC code and transfer it.
If you were previously with Vodafone, you can still keep your number, but that’s a bit trickier business. They won’t let you keep your number so you have to use this workaround. Buy a free pay-as-you-go SIM card on any other network and let your network know you’re moving.
They will publish the PAC code, which you then give to the surrogate network. Then you immediately get another PAC code from them. Bring it to your old network and they’ll move your number to your new contract. Long, but easier than learning a new number!
