Sony Direct’s first PS5 restock of the month has arrived. The invitation-only case began at 11 a.m. PT (2 p.m. ET). If there are any consoles left after the sale, a restocking for the general public will likely follow around an hour after the event. You will be able to get the PS5 for $ 499 through this link or the PS5 Digital for $ 399 through this link.
While we would expect to see plenty of Black Friday PS5 deals on games and accessories, finding a console during the competitive holiday season could be difficult. Be sure to bookmark this page should the PS5 drop for the general public.
Sony Direct PS5 replenishment (by invitation only)
PS5: $ 499 at Sony Direct
The flagship console of the PS5 includes a 4K UDH Blu-ray disc player. As a result, the design is slightly more complete than the fully digital model. It sells for $ 499 and includes a PS5 DualSense controller.

Digital PS5: $ 399 @ Sony Direct
The PS5 Digital console does not have a 4K UDH Blu-ray disc player. As a result, it is slightly thinner than its counterpart. It also sells for $ 399 ($ 100 less) and includes a PS5 DualSense controller. See the offer
How to receive notifications from Sony Direct
Occasionally, Sony Direct has restockings for guests only. (Invitations are sent by e-mail). In order to get exclusive Sony Direct invitations, you must have an active Sony Direct account and ensure that notifications are set to “yes”. Creating a Sony Direct account is easy. You can register via this link here. Once you’ve created an account, you’ll want to add your address and billing information. Having this information in a file will make it easier if you can manage to get a PS5 console in your cart.
To activate Sony Direct notifications, you will need to log into your account, click on “My Profile” and then on the “Edit” button on your profile page. You will then be redirected to a new account settings page. From this page, choose “notifications” in the left column, then be sure to sign up to receive Sony news and specials.
Keep in mind that this tip does not guarantee that you will receive an invitation in time for the next PS5 delivery, but it should increase your chances for the next Sony Direct PS5 exclusive replenishment event.
How to get a PS5 if you haven’t received an invite
Usually, after an invitation-only PS5 restock, Sony tends to open its virtual queue to the general public. However, this is not always a guarantee. (There have been instances where the retailer has sold out completely). If there are additional consoles, a restocking for the general public will likely take place after the invitation-only event ends. (Usually an hour or two after the start of the original fall). Of course, you can bookmark our page and we’ll keep you up to date with the latest PS5 restocking news from Sony Direct and all major US retailers.
What to do once you are in the queue
Once you are in the virtual queue, you will receive an estimate of the waiting time. All wait times vary and there is a good chance you will have “more than an hour” of wait. If so, don’t despair. Your status can change quickly and you may have a shorter wait time than you expect. (For example, after waiting 20 minutes during a previous PS5 replenishment event, our time dropped from “over an hour” to just 15 minutes).
Additionally, you may need to resolve a captcha. (A simple challenge / question to make sure you’re not a bot). This usually requires you to select a radio box. As a result, you’ll want to make sure that your browser tab remains visible, because if it doesn’t, you could miss your captcha challenge and you could lose your place in the queue.
