Paytm, a digital ecosystem for consumers and merchants, has integrated DigiLocker into its Mini App Store. Thanks to this, Paytm users will be able to save and access their digital documents in a safe and secure manner.
DigiLocker is a secure cloud-based platform provided by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) as part of its Digital India initiative. Paytm becomes one of the first consumer applications to bring the full functionality of DigiLocker to consumers through its own application.
DigiLocker Mini App on Paytm provides users with one-click access to all DigiLocker government records, even when users are offline or in an area of low connectivity. With this decision, Paytm users can now add and retrieve documents such as Aadhar, Driver’s License, RC Vehicle, Insurance, Covid-19 Vaccine Certificates and others.

Users can also use DigiLocker documents for auto-KYC and KYC video with telecom operators, online stock trading platforms and other fintech platforms as needed. DigiLocker documents are legally recognized just like original documents, in accordance with the Information Technology Act 2000.
Users can access their DigiLocker in the Paytm app to retrieve, add, save / store and even receive verified electronic copies of documents from organizations saved directly to individual lockers, eliminating the need to carry physical documents.
To view and access documents, users can access the profile section under “Your documents” on the Paytm app. DigiLocker documents once added to Paytm can be viewed by users even when in low connectivity areas or offline.
