OnePlus 9RT launched with Snapdragon 888: here’s everything you need to know

OnePlus 9RT is now official in China, although the company has yet to confirm a launch date in India. This year, the OnePlus 9RT is the company’s only T-brand device. The phone sports the Snapdragon 888 chipset, a triple camera, and a 120Hz refresh rate display. Here’s a rundown of all the key features.

OnePlus 9RT specifications

The design of the OnePlus 9RT remains similar to other 9 series phones. It has a new E4 OLED display panel with 120Hz refresh rate and 600Hz touch sample rate. The phone uses the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 chip, which also powers the OnePlus 9 and 9 Pro. The old OnePlus 9R had the Snapdragon 870.

We have UFS 3.1 storage and three storage variants with 8GB / 128GB, 8GB / 256GB, and 12GB / 256GB options. OnePlus has also added a new virtual memory feature with up to 7GB of RAM. virtual that will come from the excess storage space. There is a new cooling system as well as improved haptics. The phone still has a 4,500mAh battery like the OnePlus 9R and comes with Warp Charge 65T fast charging.

As for the camera, the OnePlus 9RT has a tri-camera setup that includes a Sony IMX766 50MP main sensor, as well as a 16MP and 2MP ultra-wide macro sensor. On the front of the phone is a 16MP camera for selfies and video calls that is integrated into a punch-hole cutout that is aligned at the top left. The phone also has an in-display fingerprint sensor and the OnePlus alert slider is still there.

The OnePlus 9RT also comes with Oppo’s ColorOS 12 out of the box. ColorOS 12, based on Android 12, has recently been made official and while it will affect a number of Oppo phones, it will also be present on OnePlus 9 series devices in China. Note that the OnePlus 9RT will be one of the many phones that will be upgraded to the new Oppo Unified operating system next year.

The OnePlus 9RT is priced at CNY 3199 (around Rs 37,454). It is currently only available in China and no further details on its availability in India or other regions were announced at the event. We expect pretty much the same official news to come out soon.
