The first trailer for the Netflix adaptation of Cowboy Bebop has been released and it looks pretty awesome.
Unveiled at Netflix’s first-ever global fan event, Tudum, the first teaser featured John Cho, Daniella Pineda and Mustapha Shakir as Spike Spiegel, Faye Valentine and Jet Black in action for the very first time.
In a kind of cool nod to the original animated series, Netflix’s first Cowboy Bebop teaser is actually the title sequence for the series. This was confirmed in an official Netflix tweet, which you can see below, and is a wonderful tribute to the franchise created by Hajime Yatate.

Cowboy Bebop will follow “a motley team of bounty hunters, according to official Netflix synopsis [who] hunt the most dangerous criminals in the galaxy. They will save the world … for a fair price. “
Talk to Weekly entertainment ahead of Netflix’s Tudum event, showrunner André Nemec claimed that the Netflix adaptation will be “an extension of the canon” and that it “will never take the original anime away from the purists” and “does a very good job not to violate the barrel “.
Cowboy Bebop will air exclusively on Netflix on Friday, November 19.
