If you’ve been too busy playing the best games of 2021 to enter this year’s Ars Technica Charity Drive contest, you’re running out of time to donate to a good cause and have a chance to win your share of over 1,600 $. swag (no purchase necessary to win). The deadline is 11:59 p.m. EST tonight (Friday).
Over the past few weeks, more than 300 readers have contributed nearly $ 38,000 to the Electronic Frontier Foundation Where Child’s play as part of the charity campaign (EFF now tops donation totals of around $ 8,000). This is still a bit behind last year’s record of over $ 58,000, but is quickly approaching the previous record of $ 38,861.06 set in 2015.
If you’ve put it off that long, don’t do it anymore! You only have a few hours left to register your entry and help a good cause at the same time.
See below for instructions on how to enter, and check out the Charity Drive launch post for a full list of available prizes.
How it works
Donating is easy. Simply make it child’s play using PayPal or donate to EFF using PayPal, credit card or bitcoin. You can also directly support Child’s Play by choosing an item from a specific hospital’s Amazon Wish List at his donation page. Give as much or as little as you feel comfortable – every action counts.
We will then contact the winners and have them choose their prize before January 31 (the choice is made in the order of the winners’ draw). Good luck!
