Fitbit has announced that its Fitbit Charge 5 fitness tracker will now be available in India through the official Fitbit India website. The company is also rolling out updates for Fitbit Premium users along with new features to improve user experience.

The company has partnered with Calm to give Fitbit Premium users built-in access to 30 sleep tracks and stress-reducing Calm content. Fitbit Sense smartwatch users will have access to sessions guided by Calm.

The company is also rolling out features like Snore & Noise Detect for Sense and Versa 3 smart wearable devices. This will allow users to better understand their sleeping environments. The Sense or Versa 3’s microphone will analyze sound every few seconds to help monitor snoring and ambient noise levels while sleeping. Sound analysis will allow users to find out why their sleep is disturbed.

Fitbit Charge 5 price in India, specifications

The Fitbit Charge 5 smart band will now be available in India at Rs 14,999. The key feature is ECG capability, which will start rolling out in select countries soon. However, the ECG feature is listed as upcoming, and Fitbit says it will work with the company’s compatible ECG app to assess the user’s heart for atrial fibrillation or irregular heartbeat. Keep in mind that like all smartwatches and fitness trackers, the ECG function is not intended for medical diagnosis.

The device will be available at Fitbit.com/in and will come with a six-month premium subscription. Fitbit Charge 5 packs a 1.04-inch AMOLED touchscreen with Always-on mode. The fitness tracker has no buttons and is designed with aluminum, glass and resin. The portable device comes with a silicone band.

Charge 5 comes with 24/7 heart tracking and provides notifications based on the results. The fitness tracker also tracks respiratory rate, change in skin temperature, and monitoring of SpO2 or oxygen in the blood.
