Cheers for Americans because seasons 3 and 4 of Emily in Paris are on the way. Netflix has ordered two more installments of the Emmy-nominated comedy, which stars Lilly Collins as an American marketing executive working for a French company and falling into multiple romantic conundrums. They don’t call Paris the city of love for nothing!
Emily in Paris is one of Netflix’s most popular shows. Season 2 debuted in Netflix’s Global Top 10 and 107.6 million hours were watched in the week following its December 22 release.
The show follows Emily as she makes the most of a year-long assignment in Paris. She becomes the social media superstar of French luxury marketing firm Savoir, which is run by her tough but ultra-chic boss Sylvie (Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu). Season 2 saw Emily resolve various client crises while learning to speak French better. She was still entangled in a love triangle with hot chef Gabriel (Lucas Bravo) and his ex-girlfriend, Camille (Camille Razat).
Things get further complicated with the introduction of Alfie (Lucien Laviscount), a handsome British banker who is also temporarily in Paris, and Sylvie’s shocking decision to open her own practice.
Here is everything we know so far about seasons 3 and 4 of Emily in Paris.

The plot of season 3 of Emily in Paris
The season 2 finale ended with a major cliffhanger, which should be the driving force behind Emily in Paris season 3.
To summarize: Emily’s American boss, Madeline, arrived in Paris and wondered about the management of Savoir. An offended Sylvie quits – and decides to open her own business! She recruits Julien and Luc to join her, and also makes Emily an offer. She will have to decide whether to return to the United States and get a promotion, or stay in Paris to continue working for Sylvie.
Along with this huge work decision, Emily faces a romantic decision. After an initially thorny encounter in their French class, Emily began dating British banker Alfie. However, his temporary assignment has ended and he is returning to London. He asks Emily to continue seeing each other from a distance, but Emily also still has feelings for Gabriel.
She finds the courage to finally put her heart on the line, but when she goes to talk to her at her apartment, Emily discovers that Gabriel and Camille have reunited. And Camille is even moving in!
As the creator of the show, Darren Star said TVLine, “She has reasons to choose a number of doors at the end of season 2, and our challenge is to decide which of these doors she is going to choose and why. That’s what season 3 is going to be about. When you live in a foreign country one of the questions is, where is your heart is it where you are from or where you are right now Emily is going to have a hard time with it too that.
Gabriel’s situation will be a factor in what Emily ultimately decides to do. And with the sexy chef back with his girlfriend Camille, she might end up choosing a long-distance relationship with Alfie.
“I wouldn’t dismiss Alfie, and I don’t think Emily should either,” Star said, adding, “London isn’t far from Paris.”
