We chose the Jabra Evolve 75 for several reasons, not least because it is quite comfortable. The materials are of high quality and the design, while utilitarian, is smooth, uncluttered and pleasant in the hands and on the ears.

But the Jabra Evolve 75 has more to offer than just convenience. While the audio output isn’t the best in the industry (higher ranges are a bit thin), the noise cancellation itself is impressive. If you’re looking for a distraction-free experience in the midst of an open, busy workspace, the Evolve 75 won’t disappoint.

The microphone is located on the right side, on a flexible pole that can be attached to the wristband (with a magnet) when not in use. The Evolve 75 mic has demonstrated excellent performance in capturing and transmitting audio, a must for any VoIP headset worthy of the name. It lacks a few features – no music play / pause / skip controls, for example – but the Evolve 75 still ticks a lot of the boxes and is a solid choice in terms of comfort and noise cancellation.

2. Poly Blackwire 7225 (formerly Plantronics)

Ideal for comfortable all day use

Reasons to buy

+Active noise cancellation+Arrow-less design is comfortable and lightweight+Lots of controls

Reasons to avoid

No wireless option (USB A or C available)

The Poly Blackwire 720’s design moves away from your standard bulky headset style with boom, instead opting for a sleek, super-light form factor that makes it super comfortable to wear for long periods of time, even all day.

The ability to turn active noise cancellation on and off also makes it easier to keep your headphones on, as you can simply turn off noise cancellation rather than removing the headphones if needed. It’s also a good headset for listening to music, with full multimedia controls: mute, play, pause, forward and rewind.

Despite its integration into the body of the earpiece, the audio capture is quite good. The Poly Blackwire 7225 has four omni-directional microphones that well differentiate ambient noise from directed noise, so your voice is clear on calls. If you keep your headphones on all day for music and calls, this is a good choice for you.

Sennheiser is known for its exceptional audio quality, and the MB 660 does not disappoint. It stands out as a great headset for music, VoIP calls and everything in between. Built-in noise cancellation and multiple microphones enable crystal clear VoIP calls in both directions. You can also choose between sound modes (Movie, Director, Club and Speech) for the best sound for your surroundings.

The foldable design makes it easy to carry in a bag or suitcase, and it’s made from premium materials for maximum comfort. You can easily spend the whole day making calls without significant discomfort. The battery won’t have a hard time keeping up either – it can last a full 30 hours between charges. By the way, these batteries are also covered by the device’s two-year warranty.

While the Sennheiser MB 660 UC MS isn’t the cheapest VoIP headset on the market (you can expect to pay up to $ 350), it’s one of the best, especially if sound quality is a factor. decisive for you.

4. Logitech H600

Best quality price report

Reasons to buy

+Low price+Decent sound quality+Convenient foldable design

Reasons to avoid

Nano receiver easy to lose in transportSome key features are missing

The Logitech H600 has a simple design, is made from modest materials, and is inexpensive enough to fit almost any budget. That doesn’t mean, however, that the H600 has made any big concessions when it comes to sound quality or functionality. The battery lasts a full 6 hours, which should be enough for most people during the working day, and the foldable design makes it easy to carry between work and home.

The H600 is completely wireless, syncing via a USB dongle (nano receiver) – it’s small, so be careful not to lose it: the headset can’t work without it. The sound, without being exceptional, is sufficient for meetings and calls, and the drivers of the headset have been laser tuned to minimize distortion.

The Logitech H600 has fewer bells and whistles than some of the other headsets on this list, and the range isn’t great, but the price can’t be beat and the sound quality is still respectable.

5. Microsoft LifeChat LX-6000

Best mid-range wired VoIP headset

Reasons to buy

+Good microphone noise cancellation+Reasonable price+Highly adjustable boom

Reasons to avoid

Awkward in-line remote controlNot suitable for all day use

Not everyone needs – or wants – a wireless Bluetooth VoIP headset. If so, you might want to check out the LifeChat LX-6000. The cable comes with mute and volume controls and reaches around 7ft (2.15m), so you can still stand up and pace the room. Stereo audio quality is more than good enough for VoIP calls, and with active noise cancellation calls are crystal clear.

The design is simple, although the headband and ear pads may cause some discomfort after long periods of use – these are good headphones for casual calls, but if you spend all day on the phone or you want to use them for listening to music, the Poly Blackwire 7225 on this list may be a better fit (literally).

Still, it’s a great plug-and-play budget option. It’s pretty comfortable if you don’t wear it all day, and it has good sound quality to boot.
