Most of your devices should already come with an HDMI cable. In the case of the Xbox Series X or PlayStation 5, you’ll want to use this cable because it’s HDMI 2.1 and the best option for those consoles if you have an HDMI 2.1 compatible TV.

For everyone or if you need spare parts, grab this cable. It’s cheap and cheerful and quite sturdy. A braided cable design means it can withstand being pulled a lot or sitting at an awkward angle for long periods of time. It’s not the most exciting of purchases, but it is a vital purchase.

If you just want attractive lighting under your TV while you play and it doesn’t need to sync with the action, the Nanoleaf Essentials Lightstrip is a great and affordable option.

It doesn’t have the easiest apps to use, but at least it’s super easy to set up and install, so you don’t have to spend a lot of time stressing out.

Just apply it under your TV and everything will be nicer to the touch. You can use it instead of a main light, which gives you a better feeling of ambience while you are playing. Great for more spooky titles, especially if you change the color scheme.
